How Can UGC Have different eligibility criteria for passing NET Exam ?

Dear friends

I want to discus on UGC 's  policy which against our constitutional right-  right to equality  (article 14 )

I think there is no exam in India or world  have different passing level for category wise  like UGC Net , than

How Can UGC Have different eligibility criteria for passing NET Exam

1) How can they justify person of SC, ST Teacher with 55% is good teacher can become good teacher, can give more knowledge to students , then students who have scored 60 to 65 % , I am from Open category scored 64% and my name is not there in list but  person of SC category with 55% name is there in list ....and OBC  category 60 % name is there in list ....

As per Ugc Notification at entry level  OBC And  General  category both have same eligibility criteria 55 % in   PG exam but at ugc result   it different  OBC student want 60%  and   General student have to get     65% . I ask to all of you dear friends where is our constitutional right  right to equality go ?  an it is done by a    government body like UGC ?

2) Passing marks must be same for all , no body is entering into constitutional right of SC/ST as roster is there for  50% reservation in employment.   But  All the exam have same passing level

3) UGC must not play with future of student whom this teachers will teach ...Instead UGC Must take care to  make them skilled and eligible to get same passing marks. just  imagine if there is same provision in  medical college  than what ? at entry level  SC ST and OBC  student have less % but at the passing level all are same. Than why Ugc play with teacher's future

4) If this will be criteria ..for future exams there will be 100% marks to be scored for open to pass OBC 50% SC/ST Just have to appear in exam .

5) Why only 0.5% Open category result For NET exam what I am hearing .

you are right i  use wrong  word i want to say  that as per ugc    SC, ST Teacher  with  55%  is clear the net and become teacher  but same % open category student want more 10 % i want to pin point this ugc criteria in my language. I personally believe that teaching skill is god gift less % student may be good teacher and higher % student may not be good teacher.

Thanks you for   agree with me that UGC Criteria for Qualifying UGC/NET Exam at different levels  is wrong

Thanks for offering me  notes, Books for preparation of next net Exam

Today's  World's Greatest Personalities are on Peak Due to There Talent not due to their Religion, Race and Sex.

I also agree with Digambar Sir's comments. Jo Sc/ST/OBC ka laddu kaya wohi jane uska swad kaisa hai.....???.very bitter, evry second strugling in all rounds.

 R/ Sir, Hitendrasinh Trikamsinh Desai

If you have any problem against UGC qualifying criteria i personally suggest you, COURTS  DOORS ARE OPEN FOR EVERYONE go there and  fight with Govt.

First of all accept that you fail in NET exam , if you have ability to clear the same apply again and clear the same . Do not blame on SC/ST/ OBC or ugc criteria . This is criteria and you (all ) should clear the same. I request you do not wast your energy to put like this statement. Prepare NET Exam .  We are teacher we should think broad .Our Best wishes always with you .

Ghante P.B.

I also agreed with no reservation criteria should be follow in UGC n other system

but it is going on from many years.............so it cant be changed now

but one more thing to say against reservation is "Is there mental level or knowledge is less than General category"???

So what is the difference between all?

Thanks madam \
I agree with you
I think reservation policy only used for voting bank
actual there is no need to reservation policy but
everyone get respect & should admit of Social, Economical , Education status of Backward caste person
All INDIANS ARE SOCIALLY EQUAL

Thanks & Regards
Digambar B Waghmare

Mr. Desai

I also agree with you. You are right. UGC should be have similar criteria of qualify for all categories. UGC is not fair  with this issue.

Dear sir,

You are right at your side but there is no meaning for your this discussion because it is politics of our

great leader for vote. I am giving one real cases of my  friend:

1. One of the my friend working in reputed engineering institution of MP as LDC(Library) since last 14

years with M.Lib. qualification. Since he has 14 years experience in the field he has knowledge more

than newly appointed librarian. Two persons appointed in library as trainee  and they are learning and working under my friend. After one year Institute advertised various post including UDC post (for SC) in library as and one of the trainee appointed as UDC in library and now my friend has to work under him as per instruction of management. Think about the metal situation of my friend.

2. I always found when i was student , after getting scholarship money , students planning to purchase something and party.

3. We could not change our poor image and salary system as librarian they how can we change national reservation system so do not think about this and prepare for next exam.

Correct, it is absolutely engenendered by Politicians. We know everything, we cannot eliminate, we know who has done, we cannot point out. Let's stop this discussion, why to sensitise the issue unnecessarily when we know we cannot achieve anything out of it.

I totally agree with Mr. Siddhartha Shankar Ray....Merit needs to be the prime yardstick in any selection. Reserving seats and jobs for persons who have obtained all resources freely, but who still lag behind in competition is definitely affecting merit and is making the education system and our nation hollow from inside.

The founding fathers of our nation wanted to uplift the downtrodden and bring them into the national mainstream. Therefore, they provided reservations in jobs for persons belonging to such communities, so that their disadvantage may be compensated. While it is true that 50 years ago, almost all the families in these communities were backward or downtrodden, it is also true that presently, backwardness and poverty are not restricted to only these communities. While it is true that many persons belonging to the backward communities have progressed, it is questionable whether their progress can be attributed solely to the advantage obtained through reservations? It is more likely that such affluent families belonging to backward communities have progressed owing to hard work and disciplined lifestyles.

SC/ST/OBC people should work hard and compete with all in all exams, instead of crying for pity of reservation. If any reservation should be there in our country, it should be on the basis of financial condition of a family. Poor families whether SC/ST/OBC/General should be provided with free knowledge and resources. Lack of finance and resources should not deter intelligent and hardworking persons from working their way up the ladder.

Not only UGC  but our country itself is following a wrong path for many many years which seems to be incurable. Really UGC/ NET has demoralised many efficient aspirants........

sir, well explained. ugc must react on this or those effected must move the legal action.
