Can any one give the origin of word “Library” is form______________?

From the Latin word, Liber -- with a long I -- meaning, "to peel," which would refer to the inner bark of a tree. Early manuscripts were writen on these bark, and from this bark we get the modern word "Library."

         But I saw the origin of the word is from "Libra" in the book of "Library Scinece Objective Type" written by Dr.C Lal and Dr. K C Vashistha thats way I am posted the same.
