Performance appraisal means the systematic evaluation of each individual of the library with respect to his performance on the job and his potential for development is concerned with the determination of the difference between the working of various individuals of a library.
This is the process of evaluating the performance of workers on the job in terms of requirement for the job.
each employee gives the self appraisal at the end of the year and on the basis of that performance appraisal is maintained by the reporting official. it is also called confidential report of the employee. it helps in promotions also.
