Every Library People are not considered as Library Assistant but Every Library Assistant is a Library Professional.
It means Library Professional are those who are associate with library work and all of them are qualified in Library science. One of the Library professionals is Library Assistant.
good
both are same

Sir,

Both post are not same...

Gud question, library Professional vs library assistant. Library professional means the person who qualified BLIS or MLIS as a professional qualification. A library professional may be a Librarian, Dy. Librarian, Assistant Librarian and library Assistant (technical). Professor,Associate Professor and Assistant Professor(teaching). So we can say that both are the different terms not the different post coz Library Professional is not a post while libray assistant is a post.
Thanks Anita....
I think the former is a Professional Status and the later is a Designation. They are differenent in their importance.
professional  means "connected with a profession"......in profession there various position  according to their qualification...and what kind of work they do......such as librarian, asst librarian, deputy librarian.........
