Dear Sanjay, Thank you for your honest feedback. Even as a developer I am not very happy with the LIS Links recent trend. But as I dont have much time in my hand to devote towards the project, I learn to be happy. Day by day we are loosing traffic, our Adsense earnings going down, we are not able to initiate any new development and so on and to be truth we are struggling for our own survival. There was a time, when LIS Links website ranking was at par with the INFLIBNET website but now we are no where. We cannot do anything when people around us will not help each other to grow.

...a few points from my side.

Dear Sir,

  1. As I have been experiencing the trend at LIS Links we must use this platform as an R&D Laboratory of Library and Information Science.
  2. If someone(maybe I am) has any information/query or any doubts we must search the solutions from the previous postings instead of posting the same again.
  3. People must avoid asking address information of any well-known people for a firm. I understand the importance of information but I think those can be searched at search engines.
  4. Change in the Online Member and Private Chat Option. These both are to be made limited only with friends. Means a Person can invite for chat only to those who are in their friend-list. Many female members have the problem the frequent chat invitation once they login into their account.
  5. Senior professional/member must take an active interest in correcting the views(if any).
  6. Professional should show the professional respect to each of the professional.
  7. Always share/ask/question the relevant and updated agendas in the profession.

Thank you.

this is one of the best website in library science in india

i didnt mention this point for voting which is best or not. mam please do comment after reading the point.

Dear sir,

Sometimes browser base problems also arise. Some browser couldn't fetch the proper interface. The blogs/forums/events are updating less frequently. Thank you Munesh sir for your views, it's really needed to have a look for the earlier posts before posting anything.

Dear Friend, Rahaman,

You have correctly pointed out that sometimes we have face problems due to incompatibility issues. Generally, mobile users found using UC and other small size web-browser to get maximum information with low data and space. Use Mozilla firefox.

blogs/forums/events are updating less frequently

We are always punctual in modifying and approving the postings. It is subject to the posting of information and sometimes availability and connectivity of the Internet.

I would request to each user of LISLINKS to keep on sharing the useful information/knowledge related to the syllabus, practical problem, achievements, innovations, jobs, motivation etc. to make profession enriched.

If someone found his/her job posting is not approved within the 24 hours, he/she may email me to munesh09@gmail.com or can call at 9970219639.

Thank you.

Dear Sir,

I don't know about the mobile interfaces because I haven't used it yet. I have faced this problem in firefox. Thank you for your motivative words. It would motivate more users to participate/share more knowledge.

Dear Kumar Sanjay,
Thanks for bringing this into discussion and Dr. Barman & Mukesh for discussing the issue without reservations.

I understand & do share Dr. Barman's concern about the falling ranking of LIS Links. The reason, as I perceive is "short supply" of innovative discussions. As I observed, the most popular issues are downloading process of ready-made answers to competitive examinations and news about recruitment process, easy accessibility of ready-made Class numbers etc.etc! As a professional site, they are not unnatural but again for a professional site, they should not be all. Unless there are vibrant and interesting discussions on diverse topics, the true flavour & spirit of a professional site gets marred! Personally speaking, I have taken part in a couple of hundred forum discussions and each of them enriched me and helped me in my professional life. Unfortunately,in recent times, I observed a shortage of such forum discussions. Sri Munesh Kumar has rightly highlighted about repetitive postings but as I personally feel that users should be guided to search the former discussions before posting it. The roles of the moderators are quite important in this respect. Another issue is Call for papers from various journal publishers. It should be made mandatory to mention certain inputs about the journals like Editorial Board Members and more importantly, credentials of the Editors, whether they are included in the standard indexing databases like , say Guide to Indian Periodical Literature, NUCSSI, ILSA etc. As I foresee these issues will come into effect within a near future and for the bright young professionals who have a long period of service ahead, these issues will have a great impact upon their publication lists. I understand that for the time being, there might be a short fall of forum submissions but qualitatively, the Site will be enriched.

Thanking you all and with belated good wishes for a very Happy and Prosperous Newe Year.
