Prof Guha was one of the finest gentlemen that I met In life, He was an outstanding teacher. He was simple, unassuming and very helpful to one and all, He was one of the stalwarts of the profession and he will be missed by one and all.

Dr B Guha never be die , he always remain in our heart. My god given strength to his family to bear his absent.

It is indeed a very sad news. Admittedly, Sir passed away at a ripe age but it created a big gap in our profession. We grew up with reading his book Prof. Dutta referred to in his post. I personally believe that along with A.C. Foskett's book, they together not only completes the course materials for Information Storage & Retrieval in higher education of LIS but also help preparing a solid knowledge base on the subject. I had  some opportunities to meet and talk to him and I always struck by his updated knowledge. Prof. Seetharama has quite beautifully explained his gentle personality. He will remain in the hearts of thousands of his students and  streams of LIS professionals. May his soul rest in peace.

Siddhartha S. Ray, Calcutta

May his soul rest in peace.
