I think we should arrange a get-to-gather of members of LIS links

Dear Friends,

What do you think should we arrange a get to gather of members of lislinks. As now  many of us know each other through e-conversations but do not get a chance to interact face to face. I would like to request Mr. Badan Barman to think about organizing a meet.

I hereby request all members of lislinks, to please give your comments and suggestions in this regard.

Thanks Madam!

So many of us are suggesting that the meet should be held in any big conference like event, but I think it would not solve the purpose, because most of the time we would be busy in participating in that event. Why could not we arrange a separate get to gather. If we arrange a separate meet, we could discuss the matters of our concern, i.e., The role of ILA, Library Act movement, Future activities of lislinks and so many topics with a practical and informal approach.

Do you agree? I think all lislinks member should give their opinions as their views can give an idea about the possible participants of the meet, if it could be organized.

excellent thought good idea

agreed with akash singh  & Mohd asif khan

date and place ?

Very good initiatives, such a nice conference which is going to orgnised by NLU, Delhi is the best way to meet all LIS professionals altogether and Delhi is such a Centre Place too. I request Mr. Akash Sir, If I can do anything for this please let me know during your conference days.

Further, Sir, I am thinking to write some paper for your conference alongwith Ms. Meenakshi Bhan, Librarian Indian Society of International Law, New Delhi. Something about law and library.

Wish you all the best for your conference.

Dear Har Singh Bisht,

If finally agreed by the members, i will arrange a session for disseminating awareness about LIS Link in the Agis of Mr. Badan Barman, the Founder of the event.  It will be great pleasure if you could be among active members of our team for organizing the International conference.  We have a good international and national team of librarians and professors.  Please send me your email id. i will pass on all related task you can contribute.  Again thank you so much for your initiative.

Definitely we should meet and show our strength. we can solve many professional problems of lis profession.

It is useful to us. arrange this kind of meeting.

What an Idea !! Sir jee.

Thank you for your suggestion, I also thought of this previously but unable to draw a road-map for the same. I think arranging a get together exclusively for the LIS Links will be a difficult task, but we can arrange it in collaboration with other seminars / conferences. Presently I have the following plan in mind, please feel free to contribute your own thought.
a) When there will be a seminar / conferences in LIS at some central position, I will approach the organizing committee and ask them to give us one full day exclusively for the LIS Links. If the seminar is for two days, I will request them to make it a three day.. and so on.
b) If the organizing committee agreed on, I will broadcast the seminar details to all the members so that they can attend the same. The cost of attending the seminar should be born by the parent institute of the member or by the members himself/herself.
c) The accommodation would be provided by the organizing committee.

Dear Badanji, It's a great news to us. We all were waiting for your comment. I hope the meet may be organized soon now.

I would like to thank you on behalf of all lislinks members.

Dear Badan Barman Ji,

Thanks for kind words.  We all will be  waiting for the event.  Thank you so much again.

Thanks & Regards,

Akash Singh
