Exploitations of Librarians/ Asstt librarians by educational Institutions

Dear all Library professionals,
In my opinion librarian /Asstt. Librarians is exploited everywhere in terms of pay scales, service rules and timings in all private educational institutes weather it may me school, college or university, As I have gone through many Public schools. Engineering and Management colleges . I find librarian everywhere is facing such types of problems. Here by using this forum I want your valuable opinion. I want to bring this matter in the notice of all the association heads of various states that please fight for the rights of library professionals so that the coming generation may feel proud that they have chosen a good profession.

Today designation has been changed as librarian ,information manager, information scientist but the attitude of most of the institutes does not change till now they see him as DWARPAL. Am I right or wrong. If am I right then Please choke out a concrete plan to save library professionals.

Dear Mr.Bajendra kumar,

You are 100% correct, In most of the private institutions, Library professionals were degraded by way of salary and other facilities, I really fed up this treatment,  No one bothered about Library Professionals, even our associations are also keep quite in this issue. I don't what to do, whom to meet in this regard.

Ravi

Dear sirs,

every library professionals face the same problems many agencies like UGC KV AND WEST BENGAL LIBRARY PROFESSIONALS ARE TREATED AS TEACHERS May i request all the library fraternity regarding AICTE THEY treat librarians as supporting staff this should be addressed and make the librarians considered as teaching staff.

is there any supporting document for these incidents, if so please share it on forum sir, let our professionals try to send those docs to concerned ministry. so that, someone may help us.

Ravi

Dear Sir

Sorry sir,  i have no recording of any interview but it is openly in Haryana that maximum(99.9) no of  institutes are not  paying salary to its employee as per govt grades. I have given interview in degree colleges ,enggg. colleges and in a private university. In the interview they openly talk about the salary that we can not offer as per govt grades. In such a condition , we should use spy cam at the time of interview or which type of proof we can gather. plz guide me.

Bijender Kumar

you please collected salary proof of the employs who are working for those institution so that, we can use those as evidence.

Ravi

every libraray professional face many problems day to day and goverment not give any opportunity this profession.

Sir

Our professional associations should take initiative......

Sir,

I am from Panchkula, haryana. And I have recently attend two interviews in two reputed colleges of punjab on Chandigarh -Patiala Highway. In both interviews I was selected. But the salary is so low, that I am not able to accept that. In one college, I am so surprised that they told me to give the cheque of two months salary and One Original Certificate as a security. As I have cleared my Blis, Mlis and also Ugc Net june 2012, they only offer me Rs.8000/- pm salary . So please do some thing sir. We are always with You. I am so much worried about my future. How can we library professsionals survive

Dear Pooja you are absolutely right also the real picture is more worst . As i know there is avarage salary of librarian in the pvt Bed.colleges/ degree colleges  is 5000 to 20000. Recently i have attended a interview in a well known Engg. college near Gurgaon .They were astonished while i have told them the expected salary ( 50,000 pm).so one can imagine the salary in the public school and medium level colleges.

Dear Bijender, Pl join me on facebook.com/msafal.librarian with a exclusive group viz. MOVEMENT FOR LIBRARIANS' STATUS IN INDIA ( MLSI). Post your discussion there as well.

Sure Sir

Dear Sir,

You are absolutely right. In most of the institutions treat as a non teaching staff and also behave in rough way. we are always with you sir.

Chandrani.
