Differences between Open Source and Free available Software

There are so many open source software and free software, what are the differences between them?

In simple terms we can differentiate as-

open source software- source code of software freely available and we can edit the code according to our need.

Free software-free of licensing and we can freely access through WWW. (but source code not available)

The only basic difference between OPEN SOURCE and FREE SOFTWARE is that the source code is free available to customize thoroughly in open source whereas it is not available in free software
