All the Institutes are affiliated by CBSE, AICTE, NCTE, MCI, UGC State University etc. Various pay scales have been given by these regulatory bodies for their concerned institutes, so the pay scales depend upon the type of institutes. All the regulatory bodies decide pay structure.
Dear madam, I would like to say that wtever Dr. Pachauri replied that pay scales are depend on the types of institutes. Although some of the non granted colleges are giving Rs.8000/ to the librarians. If we are talking about the Mgt. & Engr. Institutes they are giving 15000 -25000/. Well cnt say anything coz in private or self finance colleges/Institutes the salary is decided by the management.

Dear Harshal why are you sidelining the actual topic. We are not concerned here for an advertisement for Librarian's post. We are discussing how our LIS professionals are being paid by self financed institutions in the country. Its a genuine problem and needs to be discussed in Seminars, Workshops and Conferences etc.
U r right sir, but our senior experts are saying that conference is not the right platform to raise such issue. Actually some of the students and freshers raise this issue in a conference which was held on 26-27 feb 2011 at Ballabhgarh, but instead of consoling and motivating them the deligates and the senior experts used wrong words 4 the students and faculty of Bundelkhand University. So i dnt think that every body is thinking like us and this is a big problem for our freshers.
