Mr. Majumdar Thanks for your information. But it,s not a matter of an individual like me. The details should be available to all LIS professionals. Otherwise everyone has to personaly contact Mr. Panigrahi to get the purpose solved. Is this, you think, a proper way?

28^th All India Conference 2011 – Call for papers

IASLIC (Indian Association of Special Libraries and Information Centres) has scheduled its 28^th All India Conference to be held at The University of Kashmir, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir during October 10-13, 2011.

General Instructions

1.      Both invited and contributed papers will be considered. Submitted papers will have participative peer-to-peer reviews.

2. A generalised presentation should be avoided.
3. Full Paper with abstract (within 500 words) not exceeding 2500 words (not more than 10 pages of A-4 Size paper single sided with margin of 1.25" in left / right / top and bottom and duly signed by the author(s) and typed / printed in double space (in duplicate) should reach IASLIC office by 15th July, 2011 . Photographs, graphs, charts, if any should be submitted along with the negative copy/ print / tracing paper.
4. In addition, softcopy of the full paper should also be composed in MS Word and submitted on CD/DVD disc as an attachment through e-mail iaslic.india@gmail.com.
5. Author should indicate the sub-theme of the paper
6. The paper should be accompanied with an amount of  l000.00 (Rupees one thousand only) which will be adjusted with Registration Fees. Payment may be made by DD in favour of IASLIC, payable at Kolkata and send to the Hony. General Secretary, IASLIC, P-291, CIT Scheme No. GM, Kankurgachi, Kolkata - 700054. If the paper is not accepted, the amount will be refunded. 
7. Pre-Conference volume will have only Abstracts (within 500 words) of accepted papers.
8. Accepted papers which are presented in the Conference, will only be published in the Post Conference volume within three months of the Conference held.
9. Pre-declaration by the author(s) should be made separately that the paper(s) has/ have not been sent elsewhere for publication/ presentation. This has to be sent by hard copy.

10.  All accepted papers will be invited for presentation either in the main thematic session of the Conference or in the SIG Meetings. Presenter will be allowed maximum ten minutes for presentation including introduction and conclusion.

11. There will be provision for Poster presentation. All papers accepted for poster presentation will be allocated time for display of full papers. Abstract of all papers accepted for poster presentation will be included in the pre-conference volume. Such papers will not be published in the post conference volume.
12. All registered participants will receive Post Conference volume free of cost from IASLIC office. Additional Rs.150/- will be charged for postage and handling those who wish to receive the volume through post.
13. First author is entitled to get ten copies of reprints of full paper.
14. The decision of the Editorial Committee will be final and no correspondence regarding the acceptance of papers for presentation in the Conference or otherwise will be entertained.

Mr. Apurba, I already have these details, but here the authorities havn;t cleared aout lodging and boarding charges. Whether these arrangement are included in Rs. 1000/- payment is still an issue.

Dear Tarvinder,

The accommodation charges will be included in this fee as per told librarian of Kashmir University Mr. Riyaz Rufai it is difficult to accommodate those people who registered on the spot during the conference. I also suggest  him kindly send the information regarding accommodation of the participant should be clear through mail he will assure me send the mail regarding the same very soon.

Good issue raised by Handa Sir nd very nice efforts by Apurba Sir. I want to know that if we present a paper in the conference like this is  that paper will be considered as a published paper in journal Becos according to Ph.D.  rules  there is the requirement of two research papers published in the reputed journals.is conference presented paper hv same value ?

Ms. Shukla the paper published in conference proceedings can not be treated as substitute for journal article  required for Ph.D. degree. You have to contribute 2 papers in national journals for Ph.D., irrespective of any number of papers included in conference proceedings.
