Dear

NET is not equal to any fellowship  & I don't think JRF holders are attempting NET exam once they recieved their JRF

Hello Friends

yes, I have two certificates. June 2012 and Dec. 2012

I am agree with Mr.K  Hifzur Rahman. only one certificate  required for career. give change for other person. I also clear Both NET & SET and now provided NET/SET guidance for professionals

I have two certificate Dec 2012, June 2013 and also qualified Dec 2013 exam .

Dear Kumar,

Could you clarify and answer frankly that, what's the uses of your three NET certificates?????

Rather than If you give chance for two more NET aspirants means, really u achieve something from your life and uplift two persons career from darkness to lighting as well shine their lives.

Any usage for you, for promotion or increment or even any reward from anyone or at least goodwill from your own boss?????????

Why u people destroyed others career sir?????

try to understand others feelings pls as a professional its humble appeal for all......

Dear Professional Friends!

It has been very nice and informative discussion on/about NET Exam.

As per my observations, there are three solid reasons behind re-appearing in exam after getting the certificate:

  1. Felling to appear and qualify this exam, for their personal satisfaction, despite of knowing the fact of having more than one certificate, means no benefit in terms of promotions.
  2. Feelings to be updated with subject knowledge, by preparing for exam.
  3. Selection in JRF and for fellowships.

There may be more reasons behind it. The reason 3rd is little genuine, because solid funding source is needed for research work. The clarification for the above two is/are: Please share your knowledge and keeps on updating it by sharing; there is no need to sit in exam again and again. After the exam, later you can solve the same questions, share the response among your near dear.

Law of Parsimony does not allow for wasting the resource. Here, you are wasting resources of UGC–NET Bureau and yours too.

So, it is requested / suggested to change the track and follow different ways of leading, getting success and excellence. Don’t become old player, accommodate the new changes such as; process, tactics, behavior, and way of executing works.

Thanking You

Munesh Kumar

NIT Goa

yes u r absolutely right...

yes definitely, i also have 3 NET and 1 JRF

need not necessary because of today's world knowledge acquire from different sources in different fields in information era.

I must convey thanks to Sri Pankaj Gupta for addressing a rather touchy issue.

Personally speaking, I do not find any fault among the persons who have cracked more than one NET.

From experience, while applying for a post, I can say if a person can produce two or three NET clearing certificates, it will be more impressive. As such s/he will certainly remain ahead from other interviewers PROVIDED his/her performance in that particular interview should be excellent (the selectors' expectations naturally rises for such individuals!!)

OTHERWISE, such certificates will go against him/her. The impression among the sectors will be as: This fellow somehow memorized the stereotyped questions set at those examinations and just VOMITED them in his/her answer script; but as a whole s/he has no originality and quite unfortunately, s/he will be subjected to humiliation!!. (like dear Me/Ms., you have cleared T H R E E NET examinations, and you are unable to answer such simple question??)

So you see, the issue has both good and bad sides!!

Regarding the issue of depriving others, this is an absurd feeling in the context of competition!! If one is more capable than others why should s/he should refrain from proving it ??

No body has stopped others to qualify in more than one NET examination.

I understand that my reply may taste bitter for some people but competition is competition and if an individual is a better performer, s/he certainly has every right to prove it.

Dear all,

Personally, I feel a person can pass NET examination several times and will be given certificate each time he/she passes the exam.  But, only one certificate is good enough.

Also, what I personally feel is the reason for MOST of the people passing NET twice / thrice is

a) They want to clear JRF

OR

b)the lingering doubt in their mind whether they will be get through the examination - as most of the times results were announced after the last date for filling up of NET applications.

One thing what I feel objectionable is the suggestion by some of the members asking NET qualified candidates not to take up examinations again! Why?

Worse, some suggestions are even more ridiculous-

I am pretty surprised  that some of the members here in this forum, in order to pass their NET exam hinge their hopes on others performing badly in their exams and not that they will outperform all others appearing the exam with them! This is not a examination then to filter the useful candidates from the useless ones.  This is a sort of EXAM FIXING! Or you can call Result Manipulation if you like it!!

If such is the scenario LIS will end up with all useless characters passing the examination sooner or later.  Then why have the examinations at all? Let all the interested candidates register for NET and NET Bureau will pass the candidates out of turn or on the basis of first cum first serve.!

You are right .
