The Documentation Research and Training Centre (DRTC), Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore, is inviting online applications from highly motivated students to work as a Project associate. 

• Project title: "Integrated and Unified Data Model for Publication and Sharing of prolonged pandemic data as FAIR Semantic Data: COVID-19 as a case study," funded by the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) from April 2021 through March 2024.
• Qualification:
  • Essential: Master's in Computer Science/ Bioinformatics/ Library and Information Science/ Information Science/ Cognitive Science, or equivalent in related areas, or, B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/ Biomedical Engineering/ Information Technology, or in related areas. Good working experience in Python programming language. Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Desirable: Knowledge in RDF, OWL, and SPARQL, and exposure to machine learning will be a plus.
• Number of positions: 01 (One)
• Emoluments: Rs. 30,000.00 (thirty thousand) per month consolidated.
• Tenure of Appointment: The appointment will be for the duration of June 2023 to March 2024.
• Age: Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 June 2023, with usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and differently-abled candidates. Age relaxation may be given to outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience.
