UGC authorities, in order to stop cases of plagiarism, had made it mandatory for all the MPhil and PhD students to submit the soft copy of their thesis at the central library of the university, which in turn had to post the same at INFLIBNET. The posted soft copy of the thesis was then posted at 'Shodhganga', a site, which has the collection of all the thesis done in India. For posting the thesis the universities were instructed by the UGC, to sign a MoU with INFLIBNET and start posting the soft copy. Along with Shodhganga, INFLIBNET has also launched another site called Shodhgangotri, which has the name of research scholar and his guide, topic of research and the institution.
