Is the M.Phil. before 2009 exempted from NET

Is the Mphil before 2009 exempted from NET?. What are the SET equivalent to NET

I have also completed my MPhil in 2009 from Andhra University

sir i have also done my m.phil in 2oo9 form vmu tamilnadu.

but there is no clarification for m phil exempted from net.

HELLO SIR,

University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to exempt all candidates who obtained an MPhil degree on or before July 10, 2009 from clearing the National Eligibility Test (NET) to qualify for a lecturer’s job.

Dear Friends,

                    As per order of UGC M.Phil mentioned in the circular but actually M.Phil before 2009 not exempted. you can see the now days published advertisment of Asst.Prof/ Asst.Librarian of Univ, College Librarian. There are not mentioned that Mphil exempted only Phd candidate who have registered or completed his phd befor june 2009. NET is compulsory for M.Phil till date.
