Koha is an open source Library automation software and it is supported by Linux operating system. It won't be installed in windows.

Koha software support to ubuntu verson ,give me guidlines

koha support linux ubuntu.

Dear Sir

Koha is platform independent Library management software, which can be installed and run on any; Windows, Linux or MAC. Generally professional and Koha communities recommends to choose Linux distribution (major Ubuntu). The benefits of Koha using on Ubuntu is/are wide support, simplicity and advance features etc. Many online learning e-resources and demo of Koha are available by targeting Ubuntu. So you can also try on Ubuntu latest edition.

Thank You.

Yes I know Koha can be installed on any OS. I have installed on window but Z39 application is not supported it is supported on linux and Ubuntu. I am planning to install on Linux

sir, can you tell me how to install koha in windows. do you have installation manual or something like that, thus i can try koha in windows.

sir

I have downloaded  the koha software and boot on usb.then i open after booting  usb asking formating ,why this problem arising, give me guidelines.

Sir, Koha is supported by Linux Operating System (Ubuntu version) properly.

Dear Naseem

By reading your questions, it seems that you need suggestion with why?. If you are already known about the platforms and features of koha then what is the purpose of putting this matter here?. It's kind of wastage of resource; time, internet and web space etc. As you said that Z39.50, feature don't supports with windows, its correct some features and support you may not get with windows and MAC. Linux users are having more world wide support than any other platform.

Dear Munesh

I asked suggestion due to more explore about koha by the expert or who is using in real time environment. I think there is no problem in this regard

Yes correct.

thank you.

sir,

regards,

O.Seshaiah
