Friends various Universities are not conducting the Interviews for the post of Asst Librarians/Librarians after adsvertising the vacancies. After 1-2 year they are readvertising the post again cheating the candiadtes. Few Universities are Punjab Univ., MDU Rohtak, Kurukshetra Univ. etc.  Niether they are conducting interviews nor refunding the draft amount, this is very serious issue. We should raise voice against it. Kindly suggest.

good i am also welcome

universities ne  demand draft lekar  paise ka dhandha bana liya hai in universities me central aur state done hi universities hai .apki list me amarkantak national tribal university mohanlal sukhadiya university  BHU, rajasthan central university, national institute of social sciences mhow  Etc ko bhi include  kar lijiye . ye har sal advt. nikal kar paisa collect kar rahi hai  aur apne candidates ko adhoc per rakha kar benifit pahucha rahi hai

yes u r right

no dude you are not right

yeah

we are also waiting for the interview notifications. But they always forget to conduct the interview within same year. It should be conducted within 2-3 months.

i explain you about MDU, Rohtak,

mdu ne election declare hone se pahle advt. nikali thi . uske baadh procedure chal hi raha tha ki elcetion declare ho gaye or aachar sahinta lag gai jis ke karan procedure rokna padha. election ke baadh me sarkar ne bhartiyon per rok laga di . jiske karan yeh sab hua

university can't call for interview  after one year.

Thank you so very much Sri Prem Shankar Shukla

You have opened a Pandora's Box!! It is really a great misfortune that our university system indulges with the future of prospective professionals. As I presume, there are two reasons: One they don't want to fill up vacant posts for obvious reasons while they have those posts sanctioned from the UGC. In order to retain the vacancies (There is a rule that if posts remain vacant over a certain period of time, they are generally abolished) they advertise on different intervals of time. The other reason is more grave. Allegedly, they don't find "suitable applicants" (everybody understand what it means!!) or wait for the "suitable Candidate" to become an eligible applicant. Generally these universities asks for high amount of DDs for such posts and with a very few exceptions, never pays TAs to candidates for attending interviews (like even Rs.1000/- for Librarians' post, Rs. 500/- for Deputy Librarians & Rs. 300/- for Asst. Librarians) and by this way, they have a significant amount ( a couple of Thousands easily) collected in their petty Cash A/C which they can utilize according to their whims.

The best way to combat such illogical things is to collect their successive advertisements and applicants and collectively complain to UGC. The UGC will either issue a show cause notice to the respective Universities or cancel the posts. There is a Hindi proverb I often used to hear from one of my Hindi speaking friend and I feel it is the appropriate place to cite it. The proverb is Na Rahega Bans Na Bajegi Bansuri!! (I apologise if I have misquoted the proverb or misused it because my knowledge in Hindi is quite limited!)

Sincerely,

Siddhartha S. Ray, Calcutta

Mr Amit you are saying I am not right it means that Universities are conducting Interview and I am telling a lie. You are giving explaination about non conduct of Interview, but truth is that candidates are suffering, whatever may be the reason behind it. You may be right about MDU but this is happening with many Univesities. Your explaination is true but thing is that why this situation arises. If they are advertising vacancy they should go ahead. Take it Positive.

Right sir.

Dear Sir,

This situation is just like a Mirage in desert (seems as river) and we the candidates are like those thirsty passenger running to get water from the imaginary river/water pond. Advertising a post for recruitment is not only the need of job seekers, it's mutual requirement of institution and an aspirant. It is totally wrong to collect money from candidates in forms of application fee by means DD, NEFT, direct payment etc. It is right, if we get a job we will get butter and bread, but what about institution's those who are going to get a working hand? are they not getting controlled manpower as per their regulations?.

We have hope of Hon'ble MHRD and UGC, they should make some regulation toward it. An aspirant can't afford and pay longer for getting selected only for exam/interview. Creating a job opportunity is the role and responsibility of state without taking any kind of fee.

I would request to all the employers to not charge any fee against any recruitment. Personally speaking it will makes the position of your institute higher among others and employees will be happier and debited.  We know universities are getting sufficient budget for its establishment hence, they should remove the policy of charging for conducting an exam.

We all together should sign a petition and after that all the requests will be sent to the Chancellors and Vice Chancellors to all the universities, Directors of Technical Institutions and Chairman as applicable

What is your opinion?

Thanking you...

Thanks sir, We should go forward.
