You can use any of the VPN software or there are software like Shiboluth which can be used for remote access.

Dear Kankana

Please ask your system admin/network admin to make the server accessible by setting global IP to that which will route the link to the database (library database server).

I don't think VPN will help you in this regard. However my knowledge is limited. 

In my case, our computer centre did the setting for it , as they are maintaining the campus network and website.

Now it is accessible over internet.

Thanks Apurba da for the information. I had intimated many university librarians regarding the same..many have suggested for open VPN...already spoke to our computer centre..i think they will make it...

In case the online databases you are subscribing to, are IP encrypted and you want your  members can access it beyond campus, the easyproxy, a product marketed by Informatics India is suitable.As I understand the cost is around Rs. One Lakh.

As I understand Sri Abhishek Paul (Mobile: 09674000092) of Informatics India looks after it in East & North East India.

However, as I presume several other publishing agencies also have similar tools.

Thanks a ton sir for  providing me the contact detail of Informatics India. So far i'm concerned, Informatics India provides easy proxy software of OCLC as suggested by Mr पवन कुमार शर्मा

Teamviewer is also provide remote access and throw by VPN you u can also facilitate remote access 2 ur user! !!
