ย

Mobile Libraries Worldwide

Bookmobiles and mobile libraries can be found throughout the world. In addition to standard bookmobiles, camels, donkey, and elephants have all been used to pull book wagons. Some areas use boats and motorbikes to transport books.

India

In 1931, S.R. Ranganathan envisioned India's first bookmobile. The two-wheeled cart became an effective way to deliver library services to rural areas. Inspired by Ranganathan, a Sub Engineer named S. V. Kankasabai Pillai designed a bullock (ox) cart for use as a traveling library. The cart contained books, maps, charts, and a gramophone with records. In operation for ten years, the cart served villages within a ten mile radius.

The photo on the right shows a mobile library at Melavasal Village, Mannarkudi Taluk, Thiruvarur District, Tamil Nadu.

Ranganathan (1962) notes that "each librachine - traveling library in the form of a motor-van of book-mobile as it is called - should have a librarian (professional) and a circulation librarian (a semi-professional)."

Established in 1952, the Delhi Public Library aimed to provide library service to remote areas through the use of van service.

Good work sir

I SCORED 143 AS PER DSSSB ANSWER KEY...

merit will be 120 +

because number of vacancy is more

i got 123.25 marks in 69/10 post ย any chance

hello sir i have score in section a (set -D) 40 and section -b 64 for obc -other what are the possibility forย  result in dsssb total 104

OBC OTHER = UR

But other state sc/sc conisdered as as Sc/st category.

Why OBC other = Ur?ย

dsssb paper library science total 100 question has come from the book written by S.M. Tripathi, C.Lal, and K.Kumar ess ess publication. I just want to know that hard copy is needed for evidence or not I have the book what I should to do make a photocopy to ย all wrong answer and send to the dsssb or simly make a mail and writte the all wrong answer key to the board. Tell me or give your opinion .

I am shocked when I have seen what the level of dsssb board if the wrong data has in the book same printed in the exam paper they have no need to cross check whether the option are right or not because this book is old edition and even in the book library act in total state anser is 11 same type in dsssb board , organisation structure means is blue print, ditital library solve the problem for space, finance is the main factor for setting up a library, ย extension serice is satisfy with third law, single and reference books not a pair of books, .

And in the paper Ist they have mention in hindi section kanisht this is wrong right answer is kanisth option A not c and even in the paper Ist G.K. section in hindi language they have write rashtriya geet but in the english version of question they mention national anthems so friends we know that the national song is written by Bankin chandra chattergee and national anthom is written by ravinndra nath tagore . Give your opinion please..............
