Exploitations of Librarians/ Asstt librarians by educational Institutions

Dear all Library professionals,
In my opinion librarian /Asstt. Librarians is exploited everywhere in terms of pay scales, service rules and timings in all private educational institutes weather it may me school, college or university, As I have gone through many Public schools. Engineering and Management colleges . I find librarian everywhere is facing such types of problems. Here by using this forum I want your valuable opinion. I want to bring this matter in the notice of all the association heads of various states that please fight for the rights of library professionals so that the coming generation may feel proud that they have chosen a good profession.

Today designation has been changed as librarian ,information manager, information scientist but the attitude of most of the institutes does not change till now they see him as DWARPAL. Am I right or wrong. If am I right then Please choke out a concrete plan to save library professionals.

yes dear libray professional. I too agree wit it and to do with u all to change the things wit many secrefice.

they all r educational institute which aim at teaching  good things to do  but they all have no real value education. they think of only just sucking others blood n tak advantage of offering job n mistreat us. selfish moral valueless institutional head n principals. this is wat their father n mother teach to do to other helping them, I dont know.

Dear freind

Your exactly right, in our andhra pradesh/telangana also not exception similar way and more our showing expertise their talents for audit n inspection  purpose, giving more salaries to bank accounts, but taking advance checks for deduct amount as they feel exess amount for us taking back it self, otherwise no job here these institutes, i think entire all colleges doing this practice as per my circles informing the same here.

This is common practice done by all institutes all over India. If the institute is more reputed then it may give good salary but not equivalent to govt. I think all state associations should take collectively measure to stop this practice in their respective states by spreading awareness among library professionals. Also connect each and every library professional with the association. If the association is strong then the association can put their demand in front of the state as well as center govt.
