DA Hike for Central Government Staff

The Centrre is learnt to be rushing through a mega-bonanza for Central government employees and pensioners. This is likely to be taken up by the Cabinet at its Friday meeting. The Seventh Pay Commission’s terms of reference, set to be notified, may include a proposal to merge 50 percent of current DA to basic pay, that will mean 35 percent hikes, benefiting 50 lakh employees and 30 lakh pensioners.
