DA Hike for Central Government Staff

The Centrre is learnt to be rushing through a mega-bonanza for Central government employees and pensioners. This is likely to be taken up by the Cabinet at its Friday meeting. The Seventh Pay Commissionโ€™s terms of reference, set to be notified, may include a proposal to merge 50 percent of current DA to basic pay, that will mean 35 percent hikes, benefiting 50 lakh employees and 30 lakh pensioners.
