Advertisement for the Post of Library Trainee at Indian Institute of Astrophysics

Dear LIS Professionals,

The Indian Institute of Astrophysics invites online applications from post-graduates in Library & Information Science who are enthusiastic about serving as Library Trainees. The traineeship is for one year and can be extended annually for up to four years (a total of five years) based on the candidate's satisfactory performance and the project's annual requirements.

 

Qualification: Post-graduate in Library & Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.) from a reputed University/Institution. Final-year students who are awaiting their results may also apply. However, they will need to produce their consolidated/final semester mark sheets during the interview.

 

No. of position: 02 (Two)

 

Remuneration: Rs. 30,000/- per month (Consolidated). There will be an annual increase of Rs. 2500/- in the remuneration based on satisfactory performance.

 

Place of posting: Bangalore (Karnataka)
