I too was feeling the same that I should appy for a immediate higher post. Therefore I have now decided to apply for Selection Grade Assitsant ( the immediately higher post) and Documentalist ( which is just for taking chance). In the meantime, you may remember me asking information about electronic resouces in social science. I have drafted a write-up in electronic resources in social science. This is the first time (apart from my M.Lib dissertation) I have drafted any write-up. I am enclosing it

The latest news of mumbai, 1st april of 2013, Supreme court of india was dismissed to the patent of cancer drugs in India, from International generic drug manufacturing and research company Novartis.
Bureau, Mumbai, Monday, April 01, 2013
“Supreme Court today has dismissed patent plea of Novartis AG for its cancer drug Glivec. While rejecting Novartis plea, the Supreme Court said that the patents would be granted only for genuine inventions. Novartis filed case way back in 2006 for a fresh patent in India for its cancer drug imatinib mesylate when the Indian patent office rejected the same.
This verdict will allow several Indian companies like Cipla, Natco and others to offer cost effective generic version in the Indian market. The Supreme Court Judge said that the Novartis' claim is rejected as the new drug does not meet any standard for novelty or inventiveness. It was an old molecule and hence the drug can't get repeated patent protection in India”.

I was glad to hear that ERC has finally shifted but what about the library, is it still together with Centre or has independent one in its own Premise.It was nice to be able to get in touch with you again,  I always use to go through your explanations for the comments in LIS Links which were very knowledgable.

I hope you remember me I was working in ICSSR ERC Lake Terrace as PA to Director (Sushanta babu) I am presently working with ISEC Bangalore and successfully cleared UGC NET in LIS in June 2012 and now looking for job in Library field.
