Dear LIS professionals,
Applications are invited for one (1) purely temporary position in Documentation Research and Training Centre at the Bangalore Centre of the Indian Statistical Institute to work as a Research Associate in the project titled, "Facility for Transforming Library Data to Linked Library Data," funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).
Qualification
Essential:
Master's in Library and Information Science/ Information Science/ Documentation and Information Science, or equivalent in related areas with a minimum of 55% marks and NET/SLET/M.Phil/Ph.D. Good oral and written communication skills in English.
Desirable:
Knowledge of semantic technologies such as RDF, OWL, and SPARQL, etc. will be a plus.
Pay
Rs. 20000.00 (twenty thousand) per month consolidated.
Tenure of Appointment
The appointment will be for one year from the date of joining or till end of the duration of the project, i.e., 19th March, 2025, whichever is earlier.
Age
Should not exceed 35 years as of March 1, 2024, with usual relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC and differently abled candidates. Age relaxation may be given to outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience.
