Dear Sri Suresha G.P.
I saw your questionnaire. I am taking advantage to add a few lines about the questionnaire.
In item#7 regarding the nature of events, it depends on (a) Professional Requirements (b) the topics of interest & (c) service period. A person may be interested to participate in a Training Programme on a particular aspect but may not be(fit to be) interested to participate in a Conference on the same aspect because of his/her knowledge level. As such they often vary. In sl.#10, "Types of events" this also varies as they are need-based. I may be interested on workshop on certain events and at the same time may be interested to participate in big conferences on a certain different theme.Next is #13 that is duration of the event. It also varies quite significantly. You might be knowing that the National Medical Library of India organize a FIVE WEEK Training course on Medical Librarianship (I have no idea whether it is still continuing!) For me personally it seemed that the time was short and it would have been even better if the Training could have been conducted in two or three parts each for 5 weeks. while some conference or workshop seems boring after even a day because of the themes and the speakers and many other issues. So, one can not distinguish clearly the duration. They depend upon the nature and the theme and equally importantly, the nature and types of participants! And Lastly, the "level of satisfaction". I am confident that if you have participated in just ten events, you can surely understand that it varies drastically. Even an event on same theme by different organizers and speakers/instructors yields different levels of satisfactions.
I hope you will understand my points.
Have a nice day.
