I have sent a letter to Mr. Mazumadar but he did not respond it. I think he does not bother for librarians.
What is role of AIKVTA in this direction?
I have already submitted these issues to Mr. A S Mazumadar by registerd post but I did not get any reply from his side. You are a regional Secretary of AIKVTA therefore talk to Mr. Mazumadar.
SIR
I want to attract your kind attention toward the various issues and the problems regarding KV Librarians.
1. Librarian is a single post in KVs I suggest that at least following staff should be posted for better up keeping and services of the library.
Secondary School: The Library Staff of Secondary School should consist of
Librarian – One : TGT Grade
Assistant Librarian- One : Assistant Teacher/PRT Grade
Library Attendant- One
2. Miscellaneous Teaching Category of staff. Music Teacher, Games Teacher, WET, Art, Yoga Teacher and Librarian were included in this categorization. Except librarian all the other teachers are given PRT and TGT cadre and designation respectively. So the TGT and PGT cadre and designation should be also given to the librarians because the job of Librarian is highly skilled and technical jobs.
3. The post of Librarian should re-designating as TGT (Library & Information Services: LIS) or TGT (Information & Resource Provider: IRP).
4. Vocational subject Library Science should be provided at 12th level, and in this process there will be no extra financial burden to kv because all the librarians are well qualified.
5. The promotion should be given not only as PGT but also as Vice principal and librarian should be eligible to appear in the departmental selection exam for the VP and Principal. In Maharashtra, the government and universities are giving the promotion opportunity to the librarians as a Principal in the degree and PG colleges on seniority basis if they possess the qualification for the post. They are considered as a teaching faculty and there is a single seniority list for librarians and teachers. So the similar facility should be given to us.
6. Grades of Library should be added in CCE.
