    The Department of Library and Information Science, Vel Tech University Avadi Chennai-62   is organizing a Workshop on “Implementation of DSpace for Managing E- Resources in Institutions” on 14th March, 2015 at Vel Tech University campus.

    Workshop Themes:

    The objective of this workshop will be highly useful for managing digital contents like NPTEL, Webcourses,E-Books, Syllabus, Questions papers,  & Research journals with easy searching / faster retrieval . This workshop includes hands - on session and technical discussion to get better insight about Dspace software.

    * Introduction to DSpace Digital Repository

    * Installing DSpace in Ubuntu Linux Operating System

    * Creating system users and configuring e-mail accounts in Ubuntu

    * User / Group Management in Dspace

    * Assigning Roles and Permissions for users in Dspace

    * Creating Communities and Collections in Dspace

    * Uploading items in Dspace

    * Testing DSpace Repository
