Swiping Card for Issuing Books
Dear Professionals,
I would like to implement a new system for issuing books in my library. At present Card system is used, giving 5 cards to students and 8 cards to faculty.Could you pls suggest alternative for issuing books other than Library cards?
Can swiping card system be implemented in my library?(My library has around 57000 volumes and 3000 members) How it will be possible? Where it will be available?If any one using this system for check out / check in, pls give details.
I request my professional colleagues/experts to give an advice in this regard.

Dear sir,
In our library we are using LIBSYS software to issue books.
Students come with their ID Card only. Every book has its own barcode.
First we open student's id card by scanning. After that we scanned the bar-code which is on the book.
(Every book was bar-coded in our library). When we scanned the bar-code of the book in his acccount, it was issued.
After seeing the list we allowed to go to take the book.
I wanted to say is "Software is must". Now a days there are so many software are available.
Go through it.
