In Assam mostly

1 Librarian

1 Asstt Librarian <Selected Colleges where collection is more>

1. Library Attendant

1, Library Bearer

thanks a lot.

Is there any Assam Govt. Order? can you provide me at dasamitkumar2007@gmail.com? Thanks n regards.

At Central Government Libraries Mukhopadhyay Committee Report is used to calculate the number of staff. Some State Government also apply the same report for calculating the number of staff. But other formula used for calculating the staff pattern at colleges and acceptable to government is not known in most of the states. However Ranganathan formula or the formula followed at Central Government may be put before the authority as justification instead of just giving the counting for different posts in the Library.

Hello I a, Narayana Murthy Retd Selection grade College  Librarian ,as per Karnataka State Govt for

colleges having less than 1000 Students one Librarian, one library Asst, one  clerk-cum-Typist & 2 attenders ,Librarian Qualification is as per UGC  norms & the rest is as per  State Govt norms, for  colleges  more than 1500 students one additional  librarian can  be appointed

very logical & well-planned structure. can you please tell me what is the eligibility criteria for the post of Libr. assistant, Sir? and, thanks a lot for your reply.

Dear Professional

I attached herewith Maharashtra State GR regarding the non-teaching Staff pattern for college (Arts, Commerce, Science & education ) including Library

This GR is in marathi language

I explained here in English

1. Librarian - Post - 1 is compulsory for Library (Librarian's pay Scale & Educational qualification is as per UGC & consider in teaching staff)

2. Assistant Librarian - Post - 1 - for student strength more than 2000

3. Library Attendant - Post - 1 - for student strength 250 if student strength more than 1000 in college than 4 posts created and 4th nos. library attendant post converted into Junior Clerk

4. Peon

also I attached more information on Library Staff Patterns

Thanks & Regards,

Digambar B Waghmare (librarian)
