Rules of TDS deduction on purchase books

What are the rules of TDS deduction on purchase of books if applicable.

dear, TDS is not to be deducted on books purchase, as it is a product, however if any service providing agency like databases are to be paid, they are taxable, that to depends, weather they are Indian or foreign
