Hi, hope your doing well.I suggest you to first of all decide upon the scope and research methodology of your project and then have a specific title For Eg." A Study on Recent trends in Library tools and technology in the Public Libraries of Raichur District". Then either go for questionnaire method or observation method. Gather as much data as you can about the modern technologies used in the concerned libraries by means of personal visit,by meeting the Librarian, Staff or by information available in public domain (websites, catalogue, etc). If possible, note down the details of vendors, contractors, etc. who provide ICT related modern library services to these libraries and gather data. Also, Study and Research on the following topics by means of internet, latest books and LIS Journals & Magazines:

1) Integrated Library Management Software (ILMS).

2) Library Management Softwares (Freeware & Commercial).

3) Database Management System (Dspace,Servers, WINISIS).

4) Electronic Article Surveillance (RFID, Title Tape, CCTV etc.).

5) Various Hardware and Softwares currently used in Digital Libraries.

6) Modern Information Sources and Services (Ebooks, E journals, Discovery Services, Metadata, etc).

Then, finally create a synopsis of the same and try to analyse and fit the gathered data in the format/structure of the project as provided by university or concerned authority. Finally get it checked by the guide assigned to you (if it is for academic diploma/degree/phd) or by any senior LIS professor before submission.

Hope you found this information helpful,

Thanks and Regards,

Akshay Patil,

LIS Professional

Thank you for your concern
