It is established from the article Public Library Service in Tagore's Model of Rural Development ( Dr. Partha Pratim Ray ) that Rabindranath Tagore established mobile library Chalantika even before the establishment of mobile library at Tanjore district in 1930. The paer entitles "Management of Presservation of Tacit Indigenous Knowledge..( Prof. Juran Krishna Sarkhal ) focuses new light into traditional indegenous knowledge and need for its preservation.
