Librarian's membership in the UGC committee constituted in the colleges

Dear College Librarians,

                   In my college Principal not ready to accommodate Librarian as a member of College UGC committee. He said that there is no any direction  from the UGC for Librarians membership.. Is there anybody can help me  to know what is the real facts in this case ?. Kindly share the knowings.

Sir, Have u qualified PHD..? or UGC /NET  then u also have the oppurtunity
