Dear Sir,

According to AICTE Librarian is Teaching Staff. I had a doubt in this. In the AICTE Web Portal, while uploading documents for approval, AICTE ask to submit the Library staff details under Administrative staff detail category. Why this difference? And also in the Mandatory disclosure, the details of the teaching staff profile should be added. But Librarian profile was not enclosed. Why this partiality  followed?

Dear Sankar Sir!!

This is because we never ask or fight for our rights.We need to ne together and work on our designation,our position and about our pay in our college.and and AICTE is not mentioned any where that we are layed in teaching or non-teaching.and anyone found please send me the link.

Dear Namrata Madam,

   

         You are started good debatable issue, not only AICTE even our universities also doing same. Now I am working as a Librarian in an engineering college, it is located in Bangalore, affiliated by VTU, these VTU people asking faculty details but they ignore total library staff, library is concern just they are asking collection details. Am sorry to say this still our professional organizations (Like KALA and AKELPA) are sleeping.

Yes sir!!

We should taking some initiatives which in real very important for all of us.And it is not over that we get scale as per norms but we should fight for our important role.No institutes can run without library,and people always put librarians in side.So this is very serious mater and if we will not wake-up our future will be in dark.

librarian is teaching staff. and other supported staff are non-teaching.

librarian clarifies  all relevant in-formations to the students and staff also.

his guidelines is must for understanding the e-journals and other current awareness services.
