About IJI

Many databases, directories, and indexes capture the global research output. While many journals are indexed in more than one index, some journals are not attracted by any index or database. Institutional journals, including some in-house research journals (particularly those that publish research papers), are excluded from directories and indexes. The research published in these journals represents local interest and Indigenous research and reports significant findings. However, these journals remain invisible despite their acceptable contribution. The IJI captures such invisible research and makes it available on its platform. We do not measure or judge the quality of papers for inclusion but use a few minimum quality thresholds before entering them into IJI. IJI is an article-level index of research journals published by institutions such as colleges, universities and laboratories.

It is available on an open-access platform.
