Dear Sri Kapadi,
Thanks for your post.
"API" stands for ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE INDICATORS.
Do you think preparing Annual Report for your Library is any sort of academic exercise?
Incidentally, Librarians in higher Academic Institutes (like Universities and Research Institutes, for example) prepares numerous REPORTS and they are inherent part of their service. These are routine jobs for Librarians and are basically mere statements. The Annual Reports are same in nature.

If anybody claims that they are ACADEMIC EXERCISE, s/he can include it in API but according to UGC norms it is extremely doubtful as I presume.

Sincerely,

Siddhartha S. Ray, Calcutta

last question sir,

how to present our API score in documentary for example- books exhibition attend in our college in three time.

in interview how to present books exhibition certificate for api score

Dear Sri Kapadi,
As you have with you the updated score sheet of API, you can understand that what sort of things should be recorded in the sheet. Unfortunately, the UGC has made NO PROVISION for such non academic events.
For example, In Kolkata, every year book fair is organized and it is called Kolkata International Book Fair. Suppose if a College Librarian takes even earned leave for ten working days, to attend it, does it empowers him/her to claim scores in the API? The answer is simple: NO as it involves no intellectual/academic activities.
The organizers arrange for talks & debates on various topics and if an individual is officially invited to deliver talk or participate in the colloquium, certainly it can be presented as an intellectual/academic activities.

I hope I could explain the issue to your satisfaction.

Sincerely,

Siddhartha S. Ray, Calcutta
