About the Workshop
The Department of Library and Information Sciences at the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, is delighted to announce a comprehensive one-week workshop on the "Koha Open-Source Library System." This workshop is designed to equip library professionals, students, and enthusiasts with the necessary skills to manage and maximize the potential of the Koha ILS. Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your knowledge and contribute to the advancement of modern library management.
Aims of the Workshop
Library professionals and administration face a difficult challenge in managing Library operations. In addition to the fact that the cost of proprietary software for library automation exceeds the available budget, the dearth of qualified personnel in libraries presents an administrative obstacle. Due to the increasing popularity of Open-Source Software (OSS) and technological advancements, libraries are adopting software packages that meet their requirements and allow for customization. This workshop will introduce participants to the most popular open-source software for library automation and digitization.
