It is my pleasure to inform you that GLA University, Mathura is organising a One Week National Workshop on Library Automation from (Monday to Friday) 23 - 27 December 2024. The focus of the workshop is to modernise the library functions with the implementation of latest technologies and techniques including KOHA: Integrated Library Management Software. This One Week National Workshop will not only enable the library professionals to choose the best open source library management software and implement it in their library but also improve the quality of library management and deliver the best services to the end users.

The highly qualified Experts on Library Automation, i.e., Koha will train the professionals.
Who can attend the workshop:
Library and Information Science (LIS) Professionals, Faculty members, Research scholars, Students and Industry professionals may attend the Workshop.
The Registration is based on First Come First Serve Basis and Registration fee is given as under:
    Sponsored LIS professional: Rs. 5000/-
    LIS working professional: Rs. 3500/-
    LIS students/research scholars/non-working professionals: Rs. 2000/-
(Registration fee includes lunch and workshop kit)
The objective of the workshop is to enhance the competency of LIS Professionals:
    - Train to install Koha and accomplish housekeeping operations.
    - Create collection and patron database; customise parameters and configuration.
    - Create super administrator’s privileges, and define document categories.
    - Manage Multi-Library, Multi Databases, Multi Campus and Multi Institutions on a single platform.
    - Live practice and hands on how to operate the Koha for Library functions.
    - Modules include circulation, cataloging, acquisitions, serials, reserves, patron management, branch relationships and many more.
