Event Description
INFLIBNET is organizing a five days Advanced Training programme on Bibliometrics and Research Output Analysis during 18 - 22 July 2022. The programme will provide the participants a sound overview of bibliometric methods, data sources, data processing, performance indicators and tools & techniques related to bibliometric analysis and mapping. It will provide awareness about the most commonly used databases, how to build -up relevant indicators and how to interpret the data. Special emphasis will be given to indicators used in research evaluation. Theoretically imparted knowledge will be consolidated with demonstration on various tools such as Bibliometrix, Biblioshiny, VOSviewer, etc
Following topics will be covered in the workshop:
-Overview of Bibliometrics
-Bibliometrics Elements and Laws
-Mathematical Foundation of Bibliometrics/ Scientometrics
-Bibliometrics Tools and Techniques such as Bibliometrix, Biblioshiny, VOSviewer, etc.

-Advanced Bibliometric Methods for Evaluation, Ranking and Mapping of Research
-Bibliometric Indicators and Rankings of University Research Performance
-Clarivate Analytics’ Web of Science and Elsevier’s Scopus Databases
